After some years away from programming I used MS QBasic and Visual Basic to reintroduce myself to the art. Visual Basic made a very easy introduction to the worlds of event driven GUI programming and object orientation; both such common elements of modern computing.

Two early examples include a Circaflex bridal calculator (for those with a passion for kites!) and Geomorphs (pictured above), an educational genetic algorithm inspired by Richard Dawkins' Biomorphs. Both of these examples were written for the PC.
